Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Chief Product Officer (CPO) to lead our product strategy and development efforts on a global scale. The CPO will be responsible for driving the product vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and innovation. This role will require a deep understanding of the fintech industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products.

Job Description :

  • Product Strategy and Vision
  • Develop and articulate a comprehensive, forward-thinking product vision aligned with the company's long-term goals and market trends.
  • Create and maintain a strategic product roadmap that balances innovation, market demands, and business objectives.
  • Identify and prioritize product opportunities that drive growth and competitive advantage in the global fintech landscape.
  • Ensure product strategies address the diverse needs of international markets and comply with varied regulatory environments.
  • Product Development and Management
  • Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and conceptualization through development, launch, and post-launch optimization.
  • Implement and refine agile methodologies to enhance product development efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery.
  • Establish and maintain product development standards, best practices, and KPIs across all product lines.
  • Drive continuous improvement in product features, user experience, and performance based on data-driven insights and customer feedback.
  • Market Analysis and Customer Insights
  • Lead comprehensive market research initiatives to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive threats in the global fintech space.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of user personas across different geographical markets and customer segments.
  • Implement robust systems for gathering, analyzing, and acting upon customer feedback and usage data.
  • Translate market insights into actionable product strategies and feature prioritizations.
  • Team Leadership and Development
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing global product team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective management of remote and culturally diverse teams across different time zones.
  • Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and career development paths for team members.
  • Promote knowledge sharing and best practices across product teams in different locations.
  • Attract and retain top product management talent in a competitive global market.

 

  • Stakeholder Management and Communication
  • Collaborate closely with C-suite executives to align product strategy with overall business objectives and financial targets.
  • Engage with key clients, partners, and industry leaders to build strategic relationships and gather insights.
  • Present product strategies, roadmaps, and performance metrics to the board of directors and investors.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication channels with all levels of the organization to ensure alignment on product vision and priorities.
  • Act as a product evangelist, representing the company at industry events, conferences, and media engagements.

 

  • Financial Management and Business Impact
  • Manage product budgets effectively, ensuring optimal resource allocation across different product lines and development stages.
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize revenue while remaining competitive in various global markets.
  • Contribute to the company's overall financial planning and forecasting, providing insights on product-related revenue and cost projections.
  • Measure and report on the business impact of product initiatives, including ROI, market share growth, and customer acquisition/retention metrics.

 

  • Innovation and Technology Leadership
  • Stay at the forefront of technological advancements in fintech, such as blockchain, AI/ML, and open banking.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the product team and across the organization.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance product capabilities and development efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the CTO to ensure alignment between product vision and technological capabilities.

 

  • Compliance and Risk Management
  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements across different jurisdictions.
  • Implement processes to address data privacy and security concerns in product development.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate product-related risks and ensure business continuity.

 

 

  • Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Development
  • Identify and evaluate potential strategic partnerships to enhance product offerings or expand market reach.
  • Oversee the development and management of API strategies and developer ecosystems.
  • Collaborate with business development teams to create product-led growth strategies.

 

  • Quality Assurance and Customer Success
  • Establish and maintain high standards for product quality and user experience.
  • Oversee the development of comprehensive product documentation and training materials.

Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure smooth product adoption and address customer pain points .

Skills

Necessary Technical / Functional Skills :

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in product management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Proven experience as a Chief Product Officer or similar senior product leadership role in the fintech industry

  • Strong understanding of financial services, technology trends, and regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and launching innovative products on a global scale.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day product operations.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and product management tools.

Languages: Proficiency in English and Arabic (spoken and written) is required.
