We are hiring an experienced Accountant to join our finance team in Al-Ahsa. The role includes financial reporting, tax compliance, and overseeing daily accounting operations across multiple branches.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Reporting & SOCPA Compliance
• Prepare monthly/quarterly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) compliant with SOCPA standards (IFRS permitted if applicable).
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain Arabic/English general ledger aligning with Saudi regulatory requirements.
• Lead external audits and respond to ZATCA (Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority) inquiries.
• Stay updated on accounting regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements to ensure full compliance.
• File monthly VAT returns (15%) via ZATCA’s ERAD system, ensuring FATOORA e-invoicing compliance for all POS transactions.
• Calculate and submit Zakat (2.5%) declarations for Saudi-owned entities.
• Withhold WHT (5–20%) on cross-border payments and report to GAZT.
2. Financial Analysis & Business Insights
• Conduct variance analysis (actual vs. budget/forecast) and present findings to senior management.
• Develop financial models and dashboards to track KPIs, profitability, and cost trends.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities, revenue leaks, and operational inefficiencies through data analysis.
• Support strategic decision-making by providing data-driven recommendations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning.
3. Accounts Payable & Receivable
• Oversee full-cycle AP/AR processing, ensuring timely invoice approvals, payments, and collections.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor cash flow and optimize working capital management.
4. Tax & Regulatory Filings
• Prepare and file VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax, and other statutory returns.
• Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure compliance and minimize liabilities.
• Maintain records for tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries.
5. Daily POS & Cash Management
• Close out daily POS systems (e.g., Square, Toast, Micros) for all branches, verifying sales, voids, discounts, and tender types (cash/card).
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies (e.g., cash shortages, overages, missing tickets) with branch managers.
• Reconcile cash deposits with bank statements and POS reports.
• Monitor tip allocations and ensure compliance with labor laws.
6. Multi-Brand/Branch Financial Oversight
• Maintain separate financial records for each brand/branch while consolidating reports for HQ.
• Track intercompany transactions (e.g., inventory transfers, shared expenses).
• Analyze sales trends, food costs, and labor costs by location/brand.
7. Inventory & Cost Control
• Reconcile inventory counts with POS data to identify shrinkage/theft.
• Calculate actual vs. theoretical (AvT) food/beverage costs and flag variances.
• Collaborate with procurement to audit vendor invoices and pricing.
8. Process Improvement & Systems
• Streamline accounting processes through automation and best practices.
• Assist in initiate and utilize accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, Oracle) to improve efficiency.
• Implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
• Develop standardized SOPs for cash handling and POS reconciliation across branches.
• Train managers on financial best practices (e.g., reducing waste, accurate reporting).
• Implement automation tools to streamline reconciliations.
Qualifications:
Education:

Experience:
